Scouts

Applications are open.

We are starting with older youth and young adults. You come for a purpose and a place in a working operation. You leave the first season with a record. You stay on the path if you want what it leads to: skill, a stake, and eventually stewardship.

Who we are taking now

Older youth and young adults looking for purpose. Young women and young men. If you can work, you can apply. Younger scouts will follow. This season starts with people ready to live in the work.

What a placement includes

Training on the place. An education in the field and the desk: stock, repair, books, loads, buyers, taxes, and the rules. Housing with the operation once you are placed. Tools and a crew, not a lecture.

What you earn toward

A record of character and skill, then a stake in a business formed with the people who do the work. Ownership is earned. It is not a prize for showing up once.

Where it leads

Steward of land or of a company. Then you step into the next level of the organization. Farm Scouts stays on your name. The path does not end when the first season does.

Ranks and the sash are how a mentor signs work. They are kept, and they are not the front of the organization.
